All of his life he participated and attended
competitions in cross country skiing, running, hurtles,
and curling. He was a member of Jehu Sports for the
Beaver Lake Skiing Club. Being a true outdoorsman made
it appropriate that we direct funds to the Para Nordic
Program. He believed everyone should have the
opportunity for sports.
Mrs. Astrid Manninen, her daughter Nancy and husband
Bill Jacko were in attendance for the presentation. One
of the young girls in training provided a demonstration
and we all got to see how much hard work is involved.
Mrs. Manninen was pleased that the deserving children
will be able to enjoy more equipment due to the
donation.
Whitefish District Lions Club have partnered with
Patti Kitler and her program and look forward to a
continued relationship. She and her volunteers work hard
training the young people, building confidence and
character. It was wonderful to meet them.
Following the demonstrations and presentation we were
served a great lunch which was all homemade and
extremely delicious. All of the members enjoyed the day
and look forward to seeing you again.
