RE: W. I. Florence P. Eadie Scholarship Recipient
Sudbury 4-H Club Member Receives W.I. Scholarship
The Federated Women’s Institutes of Ontario congratulates Ryan
Macdonald of Sudbury as the 2011 Recipient of the Florence P. Eadie
Scholarship Award for Northern Ontario 4-H Members. Ryan received news
of the Award this week: "This is an honour and I’m very proud to be a
4-H member in the Sudbury Club. This scholarship will assist me with my
post-secondary education at Fanshawe College in September. Thank you!"
says Ryan.
‘As an organization seeking the personal development of its members
and actively involved in the community and national affairs, the Women’s
Institute has always had education as a top priority’, states the letter
of congratulations. "The local Waters Women’s Institute has been very
supportive of our program in Sudbury since we attract youth from the
outlying areas and educate them in life skills, citizenship and
leadership" says Paulette, the local club volunteer Leader. "We are very
proud of our senior members and all that they accomplish not only for
themselves but also in their community."
Northern Region 4-H Club members may apply for the FWIO scholarship
by contacting a local W.I. member, by contacting the District W.I.
board, or accessing the information on the W.I. website at
www.fwio.on.ca.

9-21 years of age and a grass roots network of 1800 trained, screened
volunteers pledge their Head, Heart, Hands and Health as members of
community based clubs. With projects encompassing agriculture, food,
health and the environment, 4-H Ontario’s "Learn to Do by Doing" clubs,
